Honda Brio RS and Brio Satya get a facelift with a price of Rs 9.24 Lakh in Indonesia

In Indonesia, PT Honda Prospect Motor has updated the Honda Brio Satya and Honda Brio RS for MY2023. There are two trim levels with three Brio Satya variations and one trim level with two Brio RS versions. Honda supplied all five models with a single 1.2L NA 4-cylinder petrol engine with a manual or CVT gearbox.

The 2023 Brio facelift is priced between IDR 191,900,000 (about Rs. 9.24 lakh) for the base E trim and IDR 191,900,000 (roughly Rs. 10.69 lakh) for the S CVT variant. Honda Brio RS starts at IDR 233,900,000 (about Rs. 13.03 lakh) for MT and IDR 243,900,000 (approximately Rs. 13.59 lakh) with CVT.

Honda Brio and Honda Brio RS share colours such as Electric Lime Metallic, Crystal Black, and Meteoride Grey Metallic.

Taffeta White and Rallye Red are exclusive to Brio, while Phoenix Orange Pearl Two Tone and Stellar Diamond Pearl are exclusive to Brio RS. Honda is well-known for producing big iterative differences with minor modifications. The 2023 Honda Brio and Brio RS facelifts are no exception.

Honda has widened the front grille, narrowed the thick horizontal bar, contoured the headlamps and added new LED trademark lighting and a new bumper. The combination of all of these drastically changes the appearance of the Brio Satya and Honda Brio RS in comparison to their predecessors.

The majority of the additional improvements and amenities in general are limited to the RS trim. LED headlights, LED fog lights, passive entry with request sensors, ORVMs with LED indicators, a MID in instrument console similar to Jazz and City (4th gen), push-button start, a 7″ infotainment screen with smartphone integration, tweeters, 15″ alloy wheels, and more are new feature additions with top-spec RS trim.

Almost all of features are absent from the Brio 2023 makeover. It also lacks fog lamps. The RS has different front and back bumpers, hence the dimensions differ as well. Honda Brio RS dimensions are 3,810 x 1,680 x 1485 mm, whereas Brio Satya dimensions are 3,795 x 1,680 x 1485 mm (Length x Width x Height in mm).

Honda did not upgrade the interiors of the 2023 Brio. We’re talking about the same interiors as the 2016 facelift, without the MY2023 7-inch infotainment and MID display. The seats are also comparable, but the Indonesia-spec Honda Brio and Honda Brio RS have rear adjustable headrests, which is a great improvement.

In terms of similarity, the 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol engine is also same. It produces roughly 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque, and has a similar state of tune and emission standard (EURO4) to what we have in India. Honda offers a CVT for AT versions in Indonesia as compared to a 5-speed TC in India.
