Metasports Interactive has rolled out a major new update for Hitwicket, India’s leading cricket multiplayer title, introducing a powerful new playable character and a fully revamped social system. The update is live now across all platforms.

Meet Champion — Hitwicket Death-Over Specialist

The star of this update is Champion, a Caribbean fast bowler built exclusively for the pressure cooker of the final overs. He’s not a general-purpose pick — he’s a specialist, and his ability kit makes that very clear.

Ability	Type	Effect
Firstblood	Special Ability	Any shot below 70% probability = instant wicket
Death Specialist	Trait	+4200 power when bowling in the last 2 overs
Redshift	Trait	Replaces green balls with red ones in the last 2 overs (50% chance for double)
Death Grip	Trait	Caps 4 & 6 shot probability at 39% against red balls

Champion will be available via an Exclusive Player Box. His design rewards players who read match situations carefully and deploy abilities at the right moment — adding a deeper tactical dimension to Hitwicket’s competitive gameplay.

Death-over bowling in cricket is one of the most high-pressure skills in the sport — learn more about cricket’s unique gameplay formats on Wikipedia.

Global Chat Gets a Complete Overhaul

Beyond Champion, Metasports Interactive has rebuilt the Global Chat from the ground up. The goal: make it easier to connect, cooperate, and grow your alliance within the game’s 18-million-strong community.

What’s new in Global Chat:

Send instant co-op match requests directly from chat
Add friends without leaving the chat window
Request to join or invite players to Alliances in real time
Use custom messages and emojis for richer conversations

The revamp positions Hitwicket not just as a game, but as a community platform for cricket fans across 109 countries.
