Hisense A7 5G e-Ink smartphone/e-reader to be unveiled on 22nd December

Hisense Group, the Chinese multinational electronics manufacturer, is going to launch another smartphone before the end of this year. Hisense is one of those rare manufacturers who are still into building phones which can act as an e-reader. Till now, they have followed a strategy where they launch devices with dual displays – a standard screen and e-ink. They have deviated from this pattern this year. They are launching a single screen smartphone with an e-ink display.

The 5G smartphones are the future and every company is looking to roll out 5G versions of their devices as soon as possible. 5G is already in huge demand in Europe and soon we believe that the Indian government might allow the auction of the 5G spectrum. Now, Hisense is set to enter the 5G smartphone market. The name of this 5G smartphone is Hisense A7 and it will come only with an e-ink screen. This new Hisense A7 is set to launch globally on 22nd December 2020. Thus, it adds to the speculation the device won’t be just present in the Chinese market but in other markets too. Also, it is believed that the smartphone won’t offer a colour e-ink screen. This is indifferent to what we have seen in other models which are launched this year like Hisense A5 Pro, Hisense A5 Pro CC, and Hisense A5C.

A teaser that was launched earlier gives us a hint that Hisense A7 might be present in only two colour variants: White and Black. On the backside, we can see a single camera with a LED flash alongside a fingerprint scanner. We can also see an audio jack at the bottom of the phone with a USB-C port and a four-hole speaker grille.

Further details regarding the size, storage, and processor are still unavailable. According to reports, the smartphone will be powered by a UNISOC 5G processor.
