Modern smartphones aren’t just communication devices; they’re digital wallets, photo albums, and work tools. The study reveals:

  • 85% use phones with wet hands during cooking/commuting
  • 52% rely on smartphones for daily work operations
  • 40% would pay ₹5,000+ to recover lost photos and contacts

OPPO’s Response to Consumer Demands

Recognizing these concerns, OPPO India has enhanced durability testing at their Greater Noida facility. Every device undergoes 150+ quality tests, including:

  • 14,000 drop tests from 2.5 meters (3x industry standard)
  • IP68 waterproofing with 30-minute submersion tests
  • Environmental stress testing from -40°C to 75°C

“86% of OPPO users rate the brand’s durability as good or very good,” notes Tarun Pathak, Research Director at Counterpoint.
