Here’s why Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United

In a rather shocking announcement by Mino Raiola, to Tuttosport, Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United is basically up. Pogba was trying to change his mind about Manchester United and tried to stay at the club from February to April.

However, one of the main reasons why Pogba wants to leave is because of the contract negotiations. He wanted only a one-year extension, but the club wanted to extend his contract for four to five years.

Pogba and Raiola are not looking for the right time, but the right club at this point. The problem, apparently, is not about money. The player is not happy at the club, nor with the style of play and possibly with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as well.

Pogba was also demotivated by the club’s failure to sign a big star like Jadon Sancho in the summer. Furthermore, he has realized that he does not like the look of the big project at the Old Trafford.

The price tag is going to be a big challenge for Manchester United, considering all the variables involved. Juventus could be a destination for Pogba, especially given he used to play with Pirlo and now his former teammate is the manager at the club.

Moreover, Juventus can possibly pay his sky-high wage considering they are the biggest club in the world. Real Madrid are at the moment, not in the discussion since neither the board nor Zidane is currently in the race for the Frenchman.

All that said, Pogba has mentioned that he wants to play for Real Madrid in the past on multiple occasions. Should the club move for him in the future, they could manage to get a sweet deal on the midfielder.

There could also be scope for a swap deal with any one of the big stars at the club that is interested in Pogba. Throwing around names right now would be nothing more than blatant speculation.

But considering the financial impact on the sport, the clubs could be looking to simply engage in swap deals for the foreseeable future.
