GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition to hit the market digitally on November 11th

The release of GTA Trilogy is approaching closer and for those still unaware the latest entry will bring back some of the most iconic GTA games albeit in a remastered version. The trilogy includes GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, and it’s amazing how the earliest of those was launched just over 20 years ago, and now we are getting a new chance to jump into games you might have missed the first time around.

The existence of the trilogy first started as rumours back in Summer however just last month the news of their existence, as well as the release date, was officially confirmed.

Enhanced visuals: You can expect a new lighting system with enhanced shadows, weather, and reflections, in addition to a resolution improvement. New higher quality textures across buildings, weaponry, highways, and interiors should give Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas a more modern feel, thanks to the improved character and vehicle models. Increased draw distances will also serve to give the world a new sense of depth and clarity.

Updated controls: It’s not just about how the games look, either. Improvements have also been made to targeting and lock-on aiming, weapon and radio station selection wheels, and an updated mini-map with enhanced navigation will allow you to set waypoints to destinations. There are new Social Club accomplishments for members too, and you can immediately restart failed missions instead of having to return to the starting NPC.

Minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD FX-6300
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
  • Disk: 45GB

Recommended system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-2700K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
  • Disk: 45GB

Here’s how GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition is priced across various regions:

  • US: The price of the game across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox is the same for the US editions – $59.99.
  • UK: Like the US, the game has been priced the same across all three platforms at £54.99.
  • Europe: European countries will also have the same price for the game, whether it’s through the Rockstar Games Launcher, PlayStation Store, or Microsoft Store (Xbox) – €59.99.
  • Australia: Here’s where the pricing scheme differs from the rest. The Australian release of the GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy will cost lower on PC than the consoles at A$90.95. The console editions are priced at A$99.95 across all systems.
  • India: The pricing pattern for the game in India is similar to Australia. However, the PC version is more expensive here, at ₹4,994.99. The console versions are cheaper, at ₹3,999 across both stores.

In the latest news, Thomas Williamson the owner and founder has recently shared a LinkedIn post noting that Grove Street has spent “over two years” working on GTA: The Trilogy.
