A few days back IPL 2021 came to an end with Chennai Super Kings winning the coveted trophy for the fourth time in the history of the tournament. Consequently there were several other awards that were distributed in the award ceremony after the finals.
In this list of individual awards, Harshal Patel who had an historic season for Royal Challengers Bangalore bagged multiple awards for his exceptional performances at IPL 2021. Moving forward let us take a look at all the players that have won the individual awards this season.
IPL 2021 Purple Cap – Harshal Patel : 32 Wickets
Harshal Patel had an incredible season for RCB as he picked up 32 wickets in 15 games and won the purple cap this season. The fast bowlers impressed everyone with his variations and yorkers at the death which helped him pick a lot of wickets during the season.
IPL 2021 Emerging Player and Orange Cap Winner – Ruturaj Gaikwad : 635 Runs
Ruturaj Gaikwad batted exceptionally throughout the tournament for Chennai Super Kings. His contribution at the top was one of the main reasons for CSK’s IPL 2021 victory. The opener also surpassed KL Rahul in the finals to win the orange cap. He scored 635 runs in 16 games at an average of 45.36. In addition of the orange cap award, Gaikwad was also declared as the Emerging Player of the season for his excellent display.

Gamechanger and MVP of the season – Harshal Patel (RCB)
Harshal Patel was declared the most valuable player of the tournament after having a memorable season. The fast bowler also won the game changer of the tournament as he picked 32 wickets which included a 5 wicket and a 4 wicket haul.
Super Striker of the Season – Shimron Hetmyer (DC)
Shimron Hetmyer of Delhi Capitals won the super striker of the season award for having the highest strike rate in IPL 2021. The West Indian batsman had a strike rate of 168 as he scored 242 runs in 14 games at an average of 34.57.
Catch of the Season – Ravi Bishnoi (PBKS)
Punjab Kings leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi won the catch of the season after grabbing a spectacular catch of Sunil Narine at deep midwicket in the league stage of the tournament.
Most Sixes in IPL 2021 – KL Rahul (PBKS)
KL Rahul smashed 30 sixes for Punjab Kings during the IPL 2021 season. The PBKS captain led from the front as he was the top scorer for his team this season and also finished third in the orange cap list.
Fairplay Award – Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals led by Sanju Samson were not able to qualify in the playoffs as they finished seventh on the table. However, they topped the table in fair play and won this award.
