Hera Pheri 3 Will Happen: Paresh Rawal Breaks Silence on Akshay Kumar Dispute

After months of speculation, Paresh Rawal has finally addressed the elephant in the room—Hera Pheri 3 is definitely happening, but there’s a catch. The beloved Babu Rao actor opened up about the ongoing controversy with Akshay Kumar and film producers that’s been delaying production.

Hera Pheri 3 Controversy

What Paresh Rawal Said About the Controversy

In a candid conversation on The Lavari Show, Rawal dismissed rumors about a ₹25 crore lawsuit, calling it “kachva chaap agarbatti” (all smoke, no fire). The real holdup? A technical dispute between Akshay and the makers that needs resolution before cameras roll.

“If this gets resolved between the two, I will sign the papers. Nothing to do with me, but it will happen 100%,” the National Award-winner confirmed, putting fan anxieties to rest.

Why Babu Rao is Non-Negotiable

Rawal didn’t mince words about his iconic character’s importance. “Even at the cost of modesty, if they’re going with the idea of doing Hera Pheri without Babu Rao, then it will be a disaster,” he stated emphatically. The character’s legendary dialogues and comic timing have become synonymous with the franchise’s success.

Director Priyadarshan’s Position

Meanwhile, director Priyadarshan shared in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla that he won’t tamper with the franchise’s legacy. “I cannot tell if I am doing the third part unless I can crack a film which has to do justice to the first installment,” he explained, showing commitment to quality over quick releases.

What Happens Next?

The ball is now in Akshay Kumar and the producers’ court. Once their technical issues are ironed out, expect the original trio to reunite for what could be Bollywood’s most anticipated comedy sequel. Until then, fans can revisit the classic moments that made Hera Pheri a cultural phenomenon.
