On Tuesday, Netflix India released the trailer for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” on its YouTube channel.

Heeramandi Chronicles the Struggle for Freedom and Love Amidst Turmoil and Passion
The captivating trailer immerses viewers into the realm of Heeramandi, where Mallikajaan (played by Manisha Koirala) reigns supreme over a prestigious establishment of courtesans. Fearless and cunning, she navigates her domain with impunity, until the unexpected return of Fareedan (portrayed by Sonakshi Sinha), the daughter of her former adversary, sparks turmoil within the household. Meanwhile, the city itself is ablaze with revolutionary fervor as patriots rally for India’s liberation from colonial rule, with Bibbojaan (played by Aditi Rao Hydari), one of Mallikajaan’s own daughters, joining the cause.
Caught amidst this upheaval is Alamzeb (portrayed by Sharmin Segal), Mallikajaan’s youngest daughter, who dreams of forbidden love with Tajdar (played by Taha Shah Badussha), the son of a nobleman. As loyalties are tested and societal norms clash with individual desires, the struggle for India’s freedom intensifies. Against this backdrop of turmoil and passion, Mallikajaan and Fareedan find themselves embroiled in a fierce competition for the esteemed title of “huzoor,” the lady of Heeramandi.
