Fresh claims about Hayden Panettiere’s final years have brought renewed attention to her troubled relationship with Brian Hickerson and the circumstances surrounding her death at 36.
According to the report provided from MARCA, a neighbor, Mia Terrazas, alleged that she saw Panettiere being taken from her West Hollywood apartment on a stretcher on two separate occasions—July 2023 and January 2024. Terrazas also claimed she noticed what appeared to be bruises and red marks on the actress and said Hickerson was present during both incidents.

Panettiere’s relationship with Hickerson had previously attracted significant attention because of domestic-violence allegations and legal proceedings. Hickerson pleaded no contest in 2021 to two felony counts of injuring a spouse or cohabitant and was sentenced to jail time, probation and domestic-violence classes.
The neighbor further claimed that arguments could frequently be heard from Panettiere’s apartment. She also alleged that Hickerson was seen at the building despite a protective order and that authorities were contacted over his presence.
However, these allegations from the neighbor have not been independently established as facts, and they should not be treated as proof of what happened during the reported incidents.
Investigation Into Panettiere’s Death Continues
Panettiere died at the age of 36 after emergency responders were called to a South Carolina residence. Authorities reportedly found no initial signs of foul play, while the coroner’s office said there were no traumatic injuries contributing to her death.
Toxicology results remain pending, according to the report, meaning the official cause and manner of death had not yet been fully determined at the time of publication.
Hickerson, through his attorney, has denied suggestions of foul play and urged people to allow investigators to complete their work.
