Hansi Flick

Hansi Flick has finally put pen to paper with the German national team, and is expected to take over after Euro 2020. The former Bayern Munich manager has signed a contract until 2024. This puts an end to all the rumours linking him with another club. Teams like Barcelona and Spurs had contacted him regarding the job, but the German national team was always the target.

During his one and a half seasons at Bavaria, the German coach has truly won it all. In 19/20, Flick led the club to the sextuple after taking over a completely ruined Bayern Munich squad left by Niko Kovac.

Despite not being as successful as his first season in charge, Bayern won a ninth straight Bundesliga title under Flick and made it into the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season. However, PSG managed to exact revenge for last season’s final this time around.

Flick has been involved with the German national team before, working under Joachim Low as the assistant coach during their 2014 World Cup victory. Hence, coupled with his remarkable display at Bayern recently, Die Mannschaft could rise once again as a top contender for the 2022 World Cup.

The agreement has been in place ever since Flick announced that he would be leaving Bayern at the end of the season. And it has been confirmed now that the club season is over, and that the time for transfers is upon us.
