Samsung India‘s flagship CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus, successfully concluded its AI, IoT, and Coding & Programming courses for the second batch of 168 students in Bhubaneswar. This reflects Samsung’s commitment to strong partnerships in India and its mission to empower the country’s youth in #PoweringDigitalIndia.

Students of ‘Samsung Innovation Campus’ Program in Bhubaneswar Graduate with Certificates in AI, IoT and Coding & Programming

The students, who were mentored and trained at the Center Tool Room and Training Center (CTTC) in Bhubaneswar, received course completion certificates at a felicitation ceremony. The event took place on July 3rd at CTTC, Chandaka Avenue, Infocity Bhubaneswar, and officials from Samsung and ESSCI, the program’s executing organization, was present to honor the students.

The first batch of students, who graduated in March, demonstrated the program’s effectiveness in transforming young minds into competent tech professionals. This time, the batch of 168 students participated in a hackathon, developing codes based on problem statements related to topics such as flora diseases, healthcare data storage, and complex e-commerce platforms. The prototypes were presented to a jury from CTTC, Bhubaneswar.

Mr. Hyun Kim, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia, expressed Samsung’s commitment to empowering the youth and creating opportunities for them in future tech domains. The Samsung Innovation Campus program was launched across eight campuses in India, aiming to upskill 3,000 less-privileged youth in areas like AI, IoT, Big Data, and Coding & Programming while helping them secure relevant job placements.

The program focuses on upskilling youth aged 18-25 in future technologies, enhancing their employability and equipping them with crucial skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Participants receive instructor-led classroom training through ESSCI’s approved training and education partners. They undergo theory training, project work, and soft skills training to improve employability. Job placements are provided in relevant organizations upon completion of the program.

The AI course consists of 270 hours of theory training and 80 hours of project work. IoT and Big Data courses include 160 hours of training and 80 hours of project work. Participants in the Coding & Programming course engage in 80 hours of training and participate in a Hackathon.
