Google I/O 2023 will be held on May 10th, later this year, and we all know that the event will be heavily focused on hardware and software. The tech giant may announce the Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a, as well as a sneak peek at the Pixel 8 series, which will be released later this year. A new leak sheds some light on the first Google foldable as well as Google’s low-cost Pixel phone.
The leak comes from reputable winfutre.de, and it confirms some details about the upcoming Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a.
The leak reveals that the Google Pixel Fold, now a confirmed name, will be available in two colours and will be released in June. When it is released, the phone will have a base storage capacity of 256GB. Google is calling the phones “Carbon” and “Porcelain,” with the latter corresponding to leaked renders of the phone in a shimmery white colour. According to sources, the foldable will cost a hefty €1,700 (approximately $1,824). This is comparable to the $1,799 retail price of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected later this year.
According to the leak, the Google Pixel 7a will be available in four colours: Arctic Blue, Carbon & Cotton, and possibly Jade. Furthermore, the phone will retail for €500, which is approximately $536, a significant premium over the price of the Pixel 6a, but prices may differ when the phone is released in the United States. The phone will also only be available with 128GB of storage.
The Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a are expected to be available in the second week of June. We anticipate that Google will officially unveil these devices on May 10th at Google I/O 2023, put them on pre-order, and begin shipping them in the second week of June.
