Google Pixel 9a Launching in March 2025, Priced Around ₹42,000

Google launched its Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, in August of last year. It’s believed the Google Pixel 9a will be an entry-level version of the phone, but it’s coming over the line sooner than expected. A fresh report (Via 9to5Google) has told us all about the expected launch date of the Pixel 9a. Historically, Google has been launching these at its annual Google I/O in the month of May. This time, though, the Google Pixel 9a is said to be arriving earlier, with pre-orders starting around mid-March. According to unnamed sources cited by Android Headlines, Google will begin pre-orders for the Pixel 9a on March 19. The phone will ship on March 26 and will be available in stores that day, too.

The early launch indicates that Google may break its tradition of unveiling Pixel A series gadgets in May. The last two models, the Pixel 8a and Pixel 7a were announced at the Google I/O events in May. We can also expect the Google Pixel 9a to be priced at $499 (around ₹42,000) for the 128GB storage option in the US. It is expected with a 6.285-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and an HDR brightness of 1,800 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The phone may be powered by a Google Tensor G4 processor, paired with a Titan M2 security chip and 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It could be available in 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage configurations. On the rear, the Pixel 9a is rumored to have a dual-camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide Sony IMX712 sensor. It may also feature a 5,100mAh battery with 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging support, as well as IP68 water and dust resistance.
