Google Pixel 8 Camera Specs Leak: Manual Controls, AI Face Alteration, Magic Editor, and More

Google’s Pixel phones have always been famous for their awesome cameras, and it seems like the upcoming Pixel 8 series will have even more cool camera features. Here’s a sneak peek from a leaked video that showed fans what’s coming. The familiar features like Night Sight, Astrophotography, and Super Res Zoom are making a comeback.

But there are also some brand-new tricks. One of them is called “Video Boost,” which makes your videos look smoother and can even give them the cool Night Sight look. And then there’s “Audio Eraser,” a clever tool that can get rid of annoying background noise in your videos.

The New Camera Features of Google Pixel 8

In the video, there’s a cool feature in Google Photos that can change how people look in a photo. It’s like magic, but it’s not clear exactly how it does it. It seems to use a bunch of similar pictures to make the changes, and it looks really impressive.

For people who really like taking pictures, the Pixel 8 series has something special called “Pro Controls.” These controls are like the ones on professional cameras and let you adjust things like how fast the picture is taken, how sensitive the camera is to light, and where the camera focuses.

There’s also a neat tool called the “Magic Editor.” It was talked about at a Google event and can do things like move things in your pictures or change the sky. The video shows how it works.

The new Pixel 8 Pro will have a special camera for taking pictures of yourself, and it can focus automatically. This is something Google had before with the Pixel 3 but didn’t have in later models. The regular Pixel 8 doesn’t have this feature, even though it uses the same camera.

Both phones have really good main cameras with 50 million pixels. They let in a lot of light, which is good for taking pictures in the dark. The Pixel 8 also has a better wide-angle camera than the regular Pixel 7. But the Pixel 8 Pro has an even better wide-angle camera and a special zoom camera that can make things look closer even if they’re far away. Google will show off the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro on October 4th.
