Google Maps Ask Maps May Soon Order From Zepto: What We Know

Google Maps could soon help you order groceries. New code in the latest Google Maps beta lists Zepto, Peloton and Pacific Market as partners for Ask Maps, the AI feature in Maps that can do tasks for you, according to a post by tipster Abhishek Yadav.

This comes from code found in a beta version of the app, so it is not an official announcement. Features found in code do not always launch. See more on our Ask Maps tag page, and visit Google Maps for official updates.

What Is Ask Maps?

Ask Maps is an AI feature in Google Maps that can handle tasks in addition to answering questions. According to the post, it can already order food and book hotels. Instead of opening several apps, you could ask Maps for what you need and let the AI complete the steps.

Why Zepto Matters

Zepto is a quick-commerce service in India that delivers groceries and essentials in minutes. If Ask Maps adds Zepto, users in India could order from inside Maps, which would put Google in direct contact with a very popular delivery habit. Peloton and Pacific Market, listed in the same code, suggest partners in fitness and grocery retail, though their regions were not stated.

How It Might Work

The post does not describe the exact flow. A likely guess is that you would ask something like “order milk and bread near me”, and Maps would show items from a partner store and let you confirm. Payment, delivery tracking and privacy controls were not part of the leak, so any such details are speculation.

Should You Expect It Soon?

Beta code often ships weeks or months after discovery, and some features never launch. Google has not announced Zepto as a partner, and Indian availability is unknown. Treat this as an early sign of where Maps may be going.

What Is Not Confirmed

Neither Google nor Zepto has confirmed the partnership. The launch date, supported regions, fees and the types of tasks Ask Maps will handle with these partners are unknown. Code strings can be test entries or placeholders. Background on the app is on Wikipedia.

Details in early reports and social posts can change as companies publish official information, so please treat the figures above as reported at the time of writing. We will update this article when new or corrected details arrive. Check the official pages linked here before you buy or plan around anything mentioned, and remember that offers, dates and prices may differ by region, seller and time of purchase.

Why AI Assistants Are Moving Into Maps

Maps already knows where you are, what is nearby and what is open, which makes it a natural home for an assistant that can act. Ordering food, booking a hotel or buying groceries from a nearby store all start with location. If Ask Maps adds more partners, Google could turn Maps into a front door for everyday errands, competing with delivery apps in a new way. For merchants, appearing as a partner could bring new orders, but it may also change how they are discovered.

Privacy and payment safety will matter. Users will want clear control over what the assistant can order and how much it can spend. Google has not shared those details, so we will update this story if official information appears.
