Google is a company that is never shy from innovating, and as such, the Android maker is always on the verge of making new inventions. It is not a piece of news if the company decides to abandon any of its products. As such, Google recently announced that it would no longer be manufacturing its Google Home Max.
The Google Home Max was launched in December 2017 for $399. But it seems that the device will be replaced by Google’s newest smart speaker, Nest Audio, which it launched in October. The Nest Audio costs $99.99.
According to sources, a smart speaker that produced high-quality sound is already sold out on the Google Store. And the news indeed seems to be accurate, as reports claim that if you visit the Google Store, then the device’s white and black models are listed as out of stock. But, Google announced that even if it has decided to discontinue the Google Home Max, it will still support the software updates and security fixes for the device.
“Existing Google Home Max users shouldn’t worry as they won’t see any change in their service. We’ll continue to offer software updates and security fixes to Google Home Max devices. We’re committed to delivering great sound and whole-home audio features across all of our Assistant-enabled products.”
