Google Camera Go app to have HDR feature from now on for low-end smartphones

Google launched the toned-down version of its camera – Google Camera Go – in March 2020. This camera app is basically for low-budget smartphones. Mostly, developing nations are the target market for these low-budget smartphones where people are yet to acclimatize themselves with new smart devices. These smartphones generally come with 2GB or lower RAM.

Google keeps on adding new features to this camera app to improve the user’s experience. Since March, Google has added two features to the Camera Go app: Night mode, and Portrait mode. The night mode helped users to capture detailed images in low or no light conditions.

Now, they have announced to add another main feature – HDR mode to this application. This was announced via a tweet at the Android’s official account. You can refer to that tweet below.

This Google Camera Go application is only present in the smartphones running Android Go Edition. It is not present in other smartphones. Some of the devices where you might this are Nokia 1.3, Wiko Y61, and Wiko Y81. One point to notice is that they have announced that the final product of HDR pictures will vary by manufacturer. But, in-all, this new HDR feature along with the previous two features will improve the experience for these smartphone users. If Google is planning to keep adding these new features to the Camera Go app of low-end smartphones, we might see these cameras to match the levels of cameras present in mid-range or high-range smartphones. When you are buying a low-budget smartphone, you have to give away a few helpful features. But these developments to the camera will be very helpful for low-end customers.
