Google Messages has arched several new features such as iOS emoji reactions for everyone and Google Photos links for video sharing in chats.
The Messages app by Google comes pre-installed on most Android phones. In the new major update, iMessage’s ‘Tapback’, which weren’t previously sent as emoji reactions. It used to come as a separate message.
Now, reactions from iPhone users such as love, laughter, confusion, or excitement, will be sent as an emoji on text messages on Android. It will appear on the right-hand side of the messages.

There are more than 1,600 new combinations to help you express your joy, like when you want to show how much you’re looking forward to your upcoming summer vacation or add a little hot summer change to your everyday go-to emoji.
The company also said that users can soon use their Play Points for in-app items at checkout, without leaving their favorite apps and games.
Going by the number of votes given at the time of writing, we can expect Android users are most excited about Google I/O 2022, leading to 36.3% of the vote for cross-device upgrades followed by messaging updates with 27.9%. Security updates stood third with 24.7% and new partnerships last with 11%.
Android users can unravel Chromebooks, tablets, and Android phones with Wear OS with the cross-device updates. We can anticipate that this I/O will be Google’s opportunity to give additional information on integrations.

These updated features by Google were already available to beta users of the Message app. However, the tech giant has not yet informed us when will these updates go live for the ordinary public.
