Ragnarok sold more physical copies on its first day than earlier instalments did in their whole first weeks, despite the fact that these figures are only relevant to the UK. Even though the sample size is so small, it’s possible that the similar trend may be detected in many other places.
It’s important to note that God of War Ragnarok has the availability on both the PS5 and PS4 in its favour when it comes to sales.
Ragnarok has the benefit of being released to a considerably bigger install base than any other God of War instalment has because it is available on these two platforms.
