Why This Is Huge for India’s Esports Future

India’s esports market is set to triple — from $38M in FY25 to $132M by FY30 — growing at a 26% CAGR (BITKRAFT-Redseer). The country already has 2.8 million competitive players, 40 professional teams, and nearly 20 major game titles in play.

Hosting GEG accelerates investment in broadcast production, tournament operations, and youth talent development. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis described the event as a step toward positioning India as a global hub for digital innovation. Stay updated with the latest gaming news on Technosports.

The event concludes with a ceremonial handover to Los Angeles, which hosts the next GEG in December 2026 — keeping the global esports calendar firmly moving forward.
