Global 5G users count cross 100 million: Huawei Chairman

In a conference, earlier, the Chairman of Huawei Guo Ping said that the number of 5G users around the globe is crossed 100 million now and 92+ operators are continuously working to develop this next-gen network commercially. Once done, the focus is expected to shift towards industrial application. Notably, Shenzhen is becoming the first city covered with the latest 5G network.

Mainly companies like Huawei and ZTE are boosting the spread of 5G, at least in China. On the other hand, in countries like India, the US, UK, these Chinese firms are restricted to contribute. That because the US government already restricted all the transactions with Huawei last year and the other countries are worried about national data security.

The UK bans Huawei, follow the US: China's Huawei removed from the UK's 5G networks

At the beginning of this year, both the Huawei and ZTE were allowed to take part in the 5G trials in India. But the border tensions with China happened in June, forced the Indian Government to reconsider the decision.

Though, the good thing is Indian telecom network provider Reliance Jio announced their 100% homegrown 5G network facility in AGM. They said the 5G technology developed by them is fully ready to test, as soon as the government will start the spectrum auction Jio will start the procedure.
