‘A cash dividend payment of $0.09 per share is scheduled to be paid on July 30, 2021.

‘Shareholders who purchased MANU prior to the ex-dividend date are eligible for the cash dividend payment.

‘This marks the 10th quarter that MANU has paid the same dividend. At the current stock price of $14.94, the dividend yield is 2.41%.’

In terms of cash, that amount comes to £8 million and is yet another lump sum of money that the American family is taking out. Fans have been vocal about their discontent with the way the Glazers are running the club, and their sentiments are being heard in the preseason friendlies. One can only assume that these protests against the ownership will gain traction as the season rolls on.

Last year, United revealed that they had paid dividends worth £23 million to the owners for 19/20. This news was amidst the club accumulating debt in excess of £450 million and only caused further unrest amongst supporters.

The European Super League plans brought things to a boiling point as supporters invaded Old Trafford, and have since been demonstrating against the owners of the club and have made it a point to continue to spread the message.
