Genshin Impact Version 5.5 expands the volcanic landscapes of Natlan with two breathtaking new areas filled with intricate world quests that continue the Traveler’s journey alongside their Saurian companion. This update marks the conclusion of the storyline revolving around removing the Flamelord’s Blessing, which began in version 5.2 and has captivated players with its unique blend of lore and exploration. The Ancient Sacred Mountain rises as the centerpiece of this update, a challenging volcanic region housing secrets that will test even veteran adventurers.

Beyond the main narrative quests, HoYoverse has introduced new reputation missions for the Collective of Plenty tribe, offering further opportunities to immerse yourself in Natlan’s rich cultural tapestry. Whether you’re hunting for primogems, seeking story revelations, or simply enjoying the breathtaking new environments, understanding the quest structure will enhance your Genshin Impact 5.5 experience.

Genshin Impact 5.5 Complete Quest Lineup: From Hot Springs to Mountain Peaks

Genshin Impact’s 5.5 update brings a cohesive series of world quests that build upon each other, creating a satisfying narrative journey through Natlan’s newest areas. The adventure begins with several accessible entry points, including the quirky “Is ‘Intensity’ Really the Key?” quest found at the hot springs in Fallingstar Fields. This lighthearted mission serves a practical purpose beyond its entertaining dialogue, unlocking one of the new Warrior’s Challenges on the map. Simply teleport to the Fallingstar Fields waypoint and head to the hot springs to find Ma’chah, the NPC who initiates this quest.

For players interested in building reputation with the new Collective of Plenty tribe, “Sing, Ho, For the Greatness of Fat!” provides an excellent starting point. This time-gated quest begins near the Remnants of Tetenanco waypoint, where the NPC Suriqui awaits. Be prepared for a three-hour waiting period after completing the first challenge before continuing – a perfect opportunity to explore other aspects of the update. Meanwhile, combat-focused players can quickly tackle “The Attack of the… Purple Tepetlisaurus?” which requires simply defeating a Tenebrous Mimiflora enemy near a marked location.

The heart of version 5.5’s content revolves around accessing and exploring the Ancient Sacred Mountain, beginning with “The Way Into the Mountain” quest. This gateway mission starts in the Collective of Plenty tribe area, where two children, Dutse and Duniya, present you with two potential paths forward – “A Brief History of Rocks” or “Investigator of Ancient Ruins.” Either quest will eventually lead you to the volcanic summit, offering players choice in how they approach this major area unlock.

Quest Name	Quest Type	Pre-requisites	Key Rewards

Once you’ve chosen your path up the mountain, “Nahuatzin’s Leap” becomes available near the newly unlocked Spiritway. This quest employs the Kohlosaurus transformation mechanic, creating a unique gameplay segment that breaks from traditional exploration. Upon reaching the Ancient Sacred Mountain, “The Frozen, Rekindling Land” automatically activates, serving as the backbone quest that gradually illuminates the new region while unlocking crucial waypoints. This quest branches into two required missions – “The Forsaken Sea of Wisdom” and “Sealed Site of Sacrifice” – both essential for progressing the main storyline.

The narrative deepens considerably with “In Search of a Hidden Heart,” one of the update’s most substantial quests featuring five interconnected sub-quests. This extensive mission chain explores ancient ruins beneath the mountain, gradually revealing crucial lore about Natlan and its connection to the game’s overarching storyline. The quest sequence culminates in “As the Burning Sun Sears Shadows,” where players must cleanse the Heart of the Ancient Sacred Mountain, unlocking yet another sub-area in the process.

Version 5.5’s story reaches its emotional climax with “A Finale Emberforged,” a quest filled with significant lore revelations that HoYoverse has appropriately prefaced with an in-game warning about its length. The final quest, “Someday, We All Must Walk Alone,” serves as a touching epilogue to the Traveler’s adventures with their Saurian companion. To access this conclusion, players must complete every world quest in Natlan, including Master Urubamba’s challenge and two additional puzzles, before returning to where they first met their Saurian friend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the recommended quest order for Genshin Impact 5.5 to avoid getting stuck?

The most efficient progression path begins with “The Way Into the Mountain” to unlock the Ancient Sacred Mountain area, followed by completing either “A Brief History of Rocks” or “Investigator of Ancient Ruins” based on your preference. Next, tackle “Nahuatzin’s Leap” to access the Spiritway system. Once you’re on the mountain, “The Frozen, Rekindling Land” will activate automatically, and you should complete both “The Forsaken Sea of Wisdom” and “Sealed Site of Sacrifice” to advance the story. From there, work through the five sub-quests of “In Search of a Hidden Heart” in the exact order presented, followed by “As the Burning Sun Sears Shadows” to cleanse the mountain’s heart. This preparation allows you to experience “A Finale Emberforged,” the update’s climactic quest.

Save the smaller side quests like “Is ‘Intensity’ Really the Key?” and “Sing, Ho, For the Greatness of Fat!” for when you need a break from the main storyline. To access the final quest “Someday, We All Must Walk Alone,” ensure you’ve completed absolutely everything else in Natlan, including puzzles and challenges, before returning to your Saurian companion’s original meeting spot.

How long does it take to complete all Genshin Impact 5.5 quests, and which ones are time-gated?

Completing all Genshin Impact 5.5 quests requires approximately 10-12 hours of focused gameplay, not including exploration time or puzzle-solving between quests. Only one quest, “Sing, Ho, For the Greatness of Fat!” is explicitly time-gated, requiring a three-hour wait after completing its initial challenge. However, several quests feature implicit time gates through their prerequisites—particularly “Someday, We All Must Walk Alone,” which requires completion of Master Urubamba’s challenge that refreshes daily. “In Search of a Hidden Heart” is the longest individual quest chain, typically taking 2-3 hours to complete all five sub-quests due to its complex puzzle mechanics and extensive dialogue. “

A Finale Emberforged” follows closely behind at roughly 90 minutes, featuring multiple cutscenes and important story revelations. The remaining quests average 20-40 minutes each, though your completion time may vary depending on combat proficiency and familiarity with Natlan’s geography. Players should note that unlike previous updates, Version 5.5 doesn’t feature any multi-day time gates within its main story progression, allowing motivated players to complete the entire quest series in a single play session if desired.
