Gareth Bale’s agent, Joshua Barnett has denied rumours of a potential move to Getafe for his client. Recently, the president of Getafe revealed that he had a conversation with Barnett, and that the possibility of a transfer was discussed.
But, according to Fabrizio Romano, Barnett has not had any contact with Getafe over a move. As a result, Gareth Bale’s future is still up in the air with retirement not an option for the Wales captain.
Gareth Bale won’t be moving to Getafe
The winger recently helped his country qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 64 years – in what could be his final appearance in the biggest football tournament of them all.
There have been several options discussed for Gareth Bale now that he is a free agent, and has left Real Madrid. A move to Cardiff was discussed for the player, while Tottenham are seemingly out of the race to bring him back once more.
Newcastle United and Manchester City have also been discussed as potential options for the Welshman. However, due to his current international duty in the Nations League, he has not spoken about any of the rumours just yet.
Once the international fixtures are over, and the season has officially drawn to a close, we can expect to hear more about the future of the 32-year-old.
