Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 will use batteries from LG

The internal layout and packaging of Samsung‘s phones have undergone various adjustments recently to make them more environmentally friendly. Samsung used less glue and a pull tab in the Galaxy S23 series to make it simpler to swap out the batteries. The South Korean company also intends to make comparable advancements with its next foldable phones.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 batteries going to have a pull tab

The South Korean safety certification authority has approved the batteries used in the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. The model numbers of such batteries have been exposed thanks to leaked images.

There will be two batteries in the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also use two batteries to keep it running. Each of the four batteries has a tab that can be pulled out, making replacement very painless. Samsung’s own battery manufacturing firm, Samsung SDI, is not involved in the production of these batteries.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5’s secondary battery is rated at 971mAh. Its capacity is less than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, whose secondary battery was rated at 1,040mAh. Without knowing the capacity of the primary battery, it is impossible to say whether or not the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a combined lesser-capacity battery.

Samsung adopting environmentally friendly practices, products, and technologies

Samsung has committed to going green in all of its operations, from production all the way through disposal, in an effort to lessen the negative impact that it has on the environment. As part of its overall effort to reduce its environmental impact, several of the phone’s components and accessories are made from polycarbonate material (PCM) and recyclable materials.

In addition to that, it powers its manufacturing facilities with the help of stringent water filtering techniques and other sources of energy. Its mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, televisions, and soundbars, all come in packaging that is recyclable and kind to the environment.
