What To Expect This Season
Hulu is kicking things off with two episodes on premiere day before settling into its regular weekly Monday release. The new season promises a “non-stop onslaught” of swaggering space pirates, lab-grown meats, romance scams, and — perhaps most surprisingly — the long-awaited return of Dr. Zoidberg’s lost love.
The voice cast returns in full force, including Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman, with Matt Groening and David X. Cohen continuing to lead creative development.
A Fitting Finale Title
True to Futurama’s chaotic history of cancellations and revivals, the season finale is titled Final Ending: The Last Conclusion — a playful nod to the show’s repeated “endings” over the years. Fittingly, this batch of ten episodes completes Hulu’s original 2023 order of twenty additional episodes, split across Seasons 13 and 14.
Adding to the excitement, Hulu also greenlit three extended-length “XXXL-sized” specials, with the first — a Christmas-themed episode — expected to arrive in 2027, giving fans plenty more Planet Express content to look forward to beyond this season.
Long-running animated series bouncing back from cancellation multiple times is a rare feat, reflecting the enduring cult appeal that shows like Futurama have built within the broader landscape of adult animated television.

The Takeaway
With a stacked cast, a wildly ambitious premise, and even more specials already in the works, Futurama Season 14 looks ready to prove — once again — that this show simply refuses to stay canceled.
