What Is Free Bert About?
The series stars Bert Kreischer as a fictional version of himself — a stuntman who gets fired from his Jackass-style TV show after bad-mouthing the execs on a hot mic. With his family far from thrilled to have him home, chaos escalates when he tries to defend his daughter from cyberbullying and ends up going head-to-head with the most powerful family at her elite private school.
Think Jackass energy meets suburban family comedy — it’s unhinged in the best possible way.
Why Did Netflix Renew It?
On March 16, Netflix confirmed the Season 2 renewal. The series landed on Netflix’s global Top 10 for two consecutive weeks, peaking at 6th place and pulling in 6.9 million views in its first two weeks alone. whats-on-netflix
For context, here’s how it stacked up against fellow Netflix comedies at debut:
| Title | 2-Week Views |
|---|---|
| Running Point | 33.5 million |
| The Four Seasons | 28.8 million |
| A Man on the Inside | 13.9 million |
| Tires | 9.7 million |
| Free Bert | 6.9 million |
Not the biggest debut, but enough to earn its second shot — and stand-up comedians on Netflix have a strong track record of growing their audiences in season 2.
Who’s Coming Back?
The full core cast is expected to return, including Bert Kreischer, Arden Myrin as LeeAnn, Ava Ryan as Georgia, Lilou Lang as Ila, Mandell Maughan as Chanel Vanderthal, and Chris Witaske as Landon Vanderthal, among others. whats-on-netflix
When Will It Drop on Netflix?
With filming scheduled to wrap by the end of July 2026, a late 2026 release on Netflix is the most likely scenario. No official date has been announced yet — keep an eye on our Netflix 2026 release tracker at technosports.co.in for updates. whats-on-netflix
Free Bert fits perfectly into Netflix’s growing bet on stand-up comedian-led comedy series — a format that’s proven to build loyal, binge-worthy audiences when given the right creative room.
