One of the greatest all-rounders of all time Jacques Kallis has become the 4th South African cricketer to be conducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. The other two names of 2020 are Zaheer Abbas and women’s cricket legend Lisa Sthalekar. They are the other inductees into the ICC Hall of Fame.

International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the name of great Jacques Kallis into the Hall of Fame. He is one of those living legends the game of cricket ever produced. Whether it is the bowling or batting, Kallis was just world-class in both the limited-overs and Test Cricket. He is the only cricketer in history to have scored more than 10,000 runs and taken more than 250 wickets in both the Test and the ODI formats.

The other three South Africans who made their names into the Hall of Fame are Graeme Pollock (2009), Barry Richards (2009) and Allan Donald (2019). Former Indian all-rounder Kapil Dev, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Ian Botham, Sir Richard Hadlee, and Imran Khan are also in this list of all-rounders.

Criteria to be inducted in the ICC Hall of Fame:

There are some strict rules from ICC to conduct a name into the list of Hall of Fame. Batsmen must have scored at least 8,000 runs and 20 hundred, with an average of over 50, in one of the two main formats, Tests or ODIs.

Bowlers have to pick a minimum of 200 wickets in any of these two formats, with a strike rate of below 50 in Tests and below 30 in ODIs.
