Cooking dramas are about more than food. They’re about ego, pressure and the one dish that decides everything. JTBC’s upcoming Final Table looks ready to serve all three. Its new character posters introduce three chefs, each with a very different reason to win.

Final Table Premise: A Cooking War With Real Stakes

Final Table follows talented Korean chefs from around the world who gather for “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a high-stakes contest to crown the best Korean chef. The new posters spotlight three of the competitors.

Final Table: Meet the Three Chefs

Actor	Character	Who They Are	Poster Hook
Ahn Hyo Seop (Wikipedia)	Kang Han	A genius chef with a hidden identity; no one knows his looks, background or affiliations	“Who is Kang Han, the master hidden behind the veil?”
Hong Hwa Yeon	Choi Song Yi	Owner of the restaurant Famiglia, entering with a story tied to it	“Why did she choose a cooking competition over revenge?”
Chang Ryul	Cha Woo Jin	Head chef of Exception, one of Korea’s top restaurants	“Perfect dishes don’t happen by chance.”

Poster Highlights

Kang Han is the show’s walking mystery. His poster shows him focused on plating with tweezers, and his line says cooking is the only way he can show who he is. It’s a neat clue that his food may reveal what his past won’t.

Choi Song Yi carries the emotional weight. Her restaurant is described as a “tragic inheritance,” hinting at buried secrets. Her line suggests she has nothing to fall back on if she loses.

Cha Woo Jin is the perfectionist. Already a top chef, he enters to challenge himself for the number one spot again, and his poster captures that uncompromising precision.

Why This One Is Worth Watching

A mystery inside a competition. Kang Han’s secret gives the show a hook beyond who cooks best.
Three distinct motives. Mystery, vengeance-adjacent grief and pure perfectionism create natural rivalries.
Familiar faces. Fans can catch Ahn Hyo Seop in Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy and Hong Hwa Yeon in Filing for Love on Viki while they wait.
