The meeting took place in Mumbai, where President Infantino had come to attend the International Olympic Committee (IOC) session. Additionally, he met with AIFF Secretary General Dr Shaji Prabhakaran and Treasurer Kipa Ajay, emphasizing FIFA’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Indian football.

President Infantino shared the news of his meeting with Kalyan Chaubey on his social media platforms, expressing his pleasure at the opportunity. “It was great meeting the president of All India Football Federation Kalyan Chaubey in Mumbai today,” Infantino stated, highlighting the importance of the gathering.

Furthermore, the FIFA President reminisced about successfully hosting the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India. He discussed with Kalyan Chaubey the development of football in the country and strategies to engage more young girls and boys in the sport.

“We recollected India hosting the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 last October before discussing football development and how we can take our sport to more young girls and boys in this beautiful country. #FootballUnitesTheWorld,” President Infantino shared on social media.
