It has been five days since FIFA 22 came out, and the reception has not been positive to say the least. The new release for PS5 is rated 2.6 on Metacritic after 115 reviews on the site by players themselves.
Fans have not held back when criticising the new game, and have gone ahead and said that EA have only slapped a new tag on the previous game and made it a new release for customers to buy. The fact that player’s faces have not been scanned properly is also another complaint that has come up by players on the PS5 edition.
Free kicks have also become much easier to score from, and that is among the several complaints that have come up when it comes to the PS5 edition. The screen also changes colours when the players free kicks have to be taken from spots which has made it difficult for players to see the screen clearly as well.
Several clips of players disappearing completely have also surfaced when it comes to reviews of the new edition. Moreover, the fact that the 30fps graphics have not improved in years only goes to show that EA are not really improving their games despite a yearly release.
While EA can fix some of these issues with patches downloadable for the new consoles, it is unlikely that fans will change their opinions on the new game. The outrage has been present for the last few titles as well, but FIFA 22 is now getting the brunt of it.
