LaLiga is set to return from next month and training has already begun for all of the teams in a proper manner including the Catalan giants. The club started individual training over a week now and now they will be moving to group training from Monday onwards.
Training in groups is indeed important, but for now LaLiga has allowed to train in groups of 10 for around a week and so this week Barcelona will be following that. They will be training in groups at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The club’s official statement says:
“Another step forward in training for Barça. From Monday 18 May the clubs in La Liga will enter into phase 3 of training. In this phase training sessions of up to 10 players is allowed as the Club have been informed by La Liga.”
“The first team players will return to training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Monday at 9.30 am CEST with the option of training in groups. The players during the first week of training have worked out individually in sessions of endurance and precision.”

Obviously this is another positive beginning for Barcelona to get rid of the pandemic from the pitch. This week’s group training will be vital after which in the next phase the full team will be allowed to train together to help bring back LaLiga action in June.
Even though LaLiga has not confirmed any fixed date for the football action but if training goes well for every team, we can expect to announce the date sooner. This is why the group training will be very important so that the 2019-20 campaign gets completed behind closed doors.
