FC Barcelona has now revealed the new home kit for the 2021-22 season. They wrote in the official website:

“Barça’s new strip makes the maximum use of the club crest. On the front, at chest height, fans will find the St George Cross, representing the patron saint of Barcelona and the Senyera (the striped Catalan flag). Two elements that define the club’s identity and its ties to city and country, but reimagined in this particular instance in the famous blaugrana colours, while the traditional vertical stripes feature below, albeit somewhat stylised to give them a more modern look.”

“Meanwhile, the Barça crest appears on the left of the chest in its usual colours, with a white Nike logo on the right. On the back, just below the neck, there is a Catalan flag, while the players’ names and numbers, and the UNICEF logo, are printed in white this season.”

“The shirt is available both in a men’s version with the name of main partner Rakuten, and in a women’s version featuring the name of Stanley, the main partner of the women’s team. The shorts feature a halved blaugrana design, while the socks come in the same colours with horizontal stripes, with the Barça name embroidered in white with the Nike logo underneath.”

The official statement also infirmed about the sustainable technology: “FC Barcelona and Nike’s commitment to sustainability has also played an important role in the design of the new strip, which uses a 100% recycled polyester obtained from used bottles to create a very fine thread. This material not only boosts sporting performance but also has a far lesser carbon footprint.”

The new home kit will go on sale at 9.00am CEST on June 16 exclusively via Barça’s e-commerce outlets and at the Barça Stores in Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona Airport Terminal 1, La Roca Village and the Camp Nou. And, from June 21, the new home kit will also be available via all the other usual channels.
