Lauma is set to debut in Genshin Impact 6.0 on September 10, 2025, marking an exciting addition as the game’s first 5-star Dendro catalyst support character. While most of her materials are locked behind the version 6.0 update, smart Travelers can start preparing now for this powerful new character from the Nod-Krai region.

What Can You Genshin Impact Pre-Farm Right Now?

The short answer is partially yes, but with limitations. Currently, you can only pre-farm Eroded Scale-Feather from the Lord of Primal Fire weekly boss and Crowns of Insight. This limited availability means most preparation must wait until the new region releases with version 6.0.

However, starting your farming routine early gives you a significant advantage when Lauma’s banner goes live, especially considering the weekly boss material limitations that require consistent farming over multiple weeks.

Complete Lauma Materials Breakdown

Ascension Materials Table

Gemstones	Nagadus Emerald (All Tiers)	46 Total	Available Now

Talent Materials Overview

Lauma requires Talent Books of Moonlight, available from a new domain in version 6.0 on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. You’ll also need the standard weekly boss materials and Crowns of Insight for maximum talent levels.

Strategic Pre-Farming Approach

Week 1-4 Before Release: Focus on farming Lord of Primal Fire weekly boss for Eroded Scale-Feather. This material has weekly limitations, making early farming essential for day-one character building.

Current Availability: Stock up on Crowns of Insight from events and battle pass. These universal materials are always valuable for any character’s talent upgrades.

Mora and EXP Preparation: Accumulate character experience books and Mora through daily commissions and ley line activities. New character leveling always requires substantial resources.

New Materials Locked in 6.0

Moonfall Silver is speculated to be a new local specialty in Nod-Krai, while Lumilight Plume comes from defeating the Phantasmal Lunar Moth enemy. These region-specific materials cannot be obtained until the update launches.

The new Talent Books of Moonlight domain will also be region-locked, requiring progression through Nod-Krai’s storyline before access becomes available.

Optimal Farming Strategy

Smart Travelers should focus on universal materials now while planning for region-specific farming post-launch. Here’s your action plan:

Immediate Actions:

Complete Lord of Primal Fire weekly (3 attempts per week)
Save fragile resin for 6.0 launch day
Stockpile Mora and character EXP books
Collect any available Crowns of Insight

Post-6.0 Launch Priority:

Explore Nod-Krai for Moonfall Silver locations
Unlock and farm the new Talent Book domain
Hunt Phantasmal Lunar Moths for Lumilight Plume
Complete story prerequisites for material access

Character Investment Priority

As a 5-star Dendro catalyst character, Lauma represents a significant investment opportunity for Dendro team compositions. Her support capabilities make her valuable for various team combinations, especially with the growing Dendro meta.

Consider your current team needs and Primogem budget before committing to extensive pre-farming. Dendro teams benefit greatly from dedicated support characters, making Lauma potentially game-changing for specific compositions.

Timeline and Release Information

Lauma’s expected release around September 10, 2025, gives players roughly two months to prepare. This timeline allows for strategic resource accumulation while maintaining regular gameplay routines.

The limited pre-farming window actually works in players’ favor, preventing resource waste on potentially changed materials due to beta testing feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I save my fragile resin for Lauma’s release?

A: Yes, saving fragile resin is recommended since most of her materials become available with 6.0. You can efficiently farm everything needed on release day rather than spreading resources thin over weeks of limited daily resin.

Q: Will Lauma’s materials change before the final release?

A: Possibly. Beta testing can result in material changes, so avoid over-investing in speculative materials. Focus on confirmed items like weekly boss drops and universal resources that remain valuable regardless of changes.
