Samsung is always criticized for the performance of its own Exynos mobile processors. In most cases, the real-life outcomes are not up to the mark, and the company brings so many handsets with the same processor. Definitely, this affects the fanbase. To settle down, Samsung started using ARM Cortex-X1 and Cortex-A78. To take care of the GPU part, the Korean giant announced the strategic partnership with AMD back in 2019.
Earlier, it was expected that the new Exynos processors with AMD’s mobile Radeon GPU will come to the market in 2022, however, a recent leak by @Universelce reveals the debut will be in 2021 during the second or third quarter. There is a high chance, the next Galaxy Z Fold 3 will carry it. As per the leak, the next Exynos 2XXX and Exynos 1XXX will have AMG GPUs. Samsung also can reschedule the launch time of the new processor, even that can possible.
You probably know about Samsung’s Exynos 2100 processor. Its performance is quite similar to Qualcomm’s flagship processor Snapdragon 888, in terms of CPU, AI, and image processing; the GPU performance is in between Snapdragon 865+ and Snapdragon 888.
Alongside all, Samsung is also preparing to sell the Exynos chips to other smartphone makers. Vivo’s X50 and X50 Pro already got the Exynos 1080 with them.
