In a major breaking development that has sent shockwaves through the K-pop fandom, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin — the beloved EXO subunit CBX — have reportedly sent formal notices of contract termination to their agency INB100, citing unpaid settlements and alleged contract violations. Here’s everything you need to know.
INB100 Situation at a Glance
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Artists | Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin (EXO-CBX) |
| Agency | INB100 (subsidiary of ONE HUNDRED) |
| CEO | Cha Ga Won |
| Notice Sent | Late March 2026 |
| Reason | Unpaid settlements & alleged contract violations |
| CEO’s Response | Promised to resolve using personal funds if needed |
| Fraud Allegations Against CEO | 3 active cases under police investigation |
What Exactly Happened?
According to reports from THE FACT on April 10, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin sent a formal termination notice to INB100 CEO Cha Ga Won in late March 2026. The notice demanded clarification over unpaid settlements and alleged contract violations. After granting an additional two-week window for a response and receiving no satisfactory answer, the trio decided to move forward with the termination.
In response, Cha Ga Won’s side stated the company is working to stabilise its situation and pledged to resolve matters — even through personal funds if necessary. Whether that reassurance is enough remains to be seen.
The Bigger Picture: A Company in Crisis
This is far from an isolated incident. INB100, originally established by Baekhyun as he prepared to become independent from SM Entertainment, became a subsidiary of ONE HUNDRED in May 2024 after Cha Ga Won assumed majority shareholding.
The fallout has been staggering. Before CBX, a string of high-profile artists under Cha Ga Won’s umbrella of companies had already walked away — including nine members of THE BOYZ from ONE HUNDRED, and Taemin, Lee Mujin, BE’O, VIVIZ, and Lee Seung Gi from Big Planet Made Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Cha Ga Won is currently facing three separate fraud allegations, with police reportedly investigating suspected misuse of artists’ intellectual property and receipt of large advance payments without fulfilling related business obligations. This is a K-pop industry controversy of rare and serious magnitude.
What This Means for EXO-CBX?
CBX’s future as a unit now hangs in an uncertain but hopeful balance. With the contracts reportedly being terminated, the three members are expected to seek new agency arrangements — potentially paving the way for fresh starts and new chapters for Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin individually or even together.
EXO-L fans are understandably anxious but also rallying behind the trio with full support.
