Enigma Gaming is one of the renowned E-Sports organizations of Indian origin. At this time Enigma Gaming has three different main lineups playing BGMI and Valorant. This organization is owned by Aryaman Wasan and is also the founder, who has given his precious time to have an interesting interaction with us.
Currently, the Valorant lineup of Enigma Gaming is playing the VCC final tournament today. For this, our team is wishing the lineup the best of luck. Apart from Valorant, the BGMI lineup of the organization is also doing exceptional in major and third-party tournaments.
Today we are interacting with Aryaman Wasan who will tell us some important points of his journey through Enigma Gaming and much more. In this exclusive interview, we have asked him a bunch of questions which he has answered quite elaborately. These answers will help you to understand the point of view of Aryaman Wasan.
- What was the idea behind the creation of Enigma Gaming?
I was always a sports enthusiast and subsequently an esports enthusiast. I had seen Indian teams struggle on the global stage for too long despite India having such a large population. I wanted to start an esports organization to try changing that. I attribute the struggle against international teams to a lack of structure and facilities provided to aspiring talent, and that’s the problem I set out to solve.
- What are the future visions and plans of Enigma Gaming?
We’re working on some fascinating stuff at the moment. In the esports space, we plan on onboarding four more competitive teams in the next 12 months; looking forward to providing more athletes with the opportunity to prove themselves and help them grow and achieve their ambition. Along with that, we have also begun focusing on building an app to help casual gamers compete with one another in various games. Lastly, we’re looking to integrate our ecosystem into the metaverse as I believe there are a lot of synergies between these two spaces.
- Both the BGMI and Valorant lineups of Enigma Gaming are doing exceptionally; what are your thoughts on this?
I think there’s no better feeling than having all my athletes compete at the highest level and be considered some of the best talents in the country. Though it gives me a sense of accomplishment that our teams are in the conversation of being the best in the country, I think this is only the first step to accomplishing our competitive goals. The athletes are working extremely hard day in and day out to achieve the goal of bringing home an international trophy. Everyone at Enigma Gaming is very confident that 2022 could be the year we make that a reality, especially with esports being included in the Asian games to be held later this year.
- As the owner of an Indian gaming organization, what do you seek in them before picking up any player for any lineup?
At Enigma Gaming, we believe that the four primary qualities essential for athletes to become the best are; hard work, integrity, ambition, and positivity. Of course, any athlete considered by the organization would be competing at the highest level in the country. Still, we believe that skills can be developed and grown with the help of professional managers and coaches. What separates the best from the rest of the tier one athletes is their mindset, which is our primary focus.
- How do you motivate your team as the owner when their performance does not match the mark?
To be completely honest, I believe the job of helping athletes in-game is best left to the coaches. They have the most knowledge of the game, and I think intervention from owners in the game only makes things worse. However, what owners can do to motivate the team is regularly organize team bonding exercises, take care of the athletes’ needs and help them be mentally and physically fit, and lastly, provide them the necessary facilities to do what they do best!
- What do you want to say on behalf of Enigma Gaming before the VCC tournament finals?
The level of competition at the moment in Valorant is exceptionally high. I feel like almost all the teams that have made it to the top 4 have the capability to win the tournament. Having said that, I have seen firsthand the grind being put in by all our boys and the hunger they have for the title. I would urge all our fans to continue supporting us and spamming #FearTheEnigma in the chat as they always do because that’s the motivation that keeps us going and fighting till the very end!
- What are the best moments in your life from the time of Enigma Gaming’s creation?
I don’t want to sound cliché while saying this, but I’ve thought about what I wanted to do to have purpose and enjoy what I’m doing for most of my life, and I feel like Enigma Gaming has provided that for me. I get to make esports a sustainable career path for athletes and enthusiasts and help them grow and achieve their ambition in this space. I get to wake up every morning super excited to make progress on our common goal and love doing it. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for anything better!
