Eve announced its Spectrum monitor a while ago and now since we are all expecting the release of the Spectrum monitor. However, given the history of Eve’s product fulfillment and repeated delays, many believe that the company will yet again make a delay in the release of its products. However, some of those criticisms may be waylaid thanks to a new video of Spectrum.

The video shows that the Spectrum will sport the HDMI 2.1 connection, allowing the monitor to display 4K resolutions at 144 Hz over HDMI. The company posted the video on YouTube and it shows the monitor connected to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 via HDMI 2.1 and is running at 3840×2160 at 144 Hz, as confirmed by Windows’ display settings, the display adapter properties, and the Nvidia Control Panel.

However, the manufacturer did not run any content or Games on the monitor in the video, and the video is also limited to 1920 x 1080 at 30 Hz, so there is not confirmation that the monitor is indeed running at 4K 144 Hz.

Eve stated that they will be able to deliver their Spectrum monitor by July 9 and also stated that producing an HDMI 2.1 powered gaming monitor is no joke and even big names like LG and Asus have also had product delays with their gaming monitors.

Eve also posted another video stating the current state of Spectrum’s product testing. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it was hard to do the testing with most of the product managers directly viewing the product however, the lead product manager for Spectrum has worked remotely with quality assurance employees in China to test firmware versions and work out kinks. Check that video below.
