Recent derogatory remarks by an esports athlete/streamer, was heard threatening a viewer with sexual assault during a live stream on 27th March.
Although competitive games encourage profanity-laced banter between players, clear lines must be drawn between what is acceptable and what is not. Esports has received its fair share of backlash for toxicity from both fans and competitors around the world, and India is no exception.
