Netflix just dropped the first official teaser for Enola Holmes 3, and it’s doing exactly what a great teaser should — reveal just enough to send fans into a spiral. Premiering on July 1, 2026, the trilogy closer is shaping up to be the most ambitious entry yet.
Enola Holmes 3 Teaser: “It Will Take a Holmes to Save a Holmes”
That tagline alone sets the stakes. The 81-second teaser, released by Netflix India on May 27, makes one thing clear: this time, Sherlock is the one who needs rescuing. Millie Bobby Brown is back as the sharp-witted Enola, and Henry Cavill returns as her legendary brother — except now the tables have turned, and it’s Enola carrying the case.
According to the official Netflix synopsis, adventure chases Enola to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in her most dangerous investigation yet. Filming took place at Shepperton Studios in the UK before relocating to the Mediterranean — and the sun-drenched, rocky coastline backdrops look stunning.

A Darker Chapter — By Design
As Screen Rant notes, Netflix deliberately brought in new director Philip Barantini to push the franchise into darker, more adult territory. Barantini replaces Harry Bradbeer (who helmed parts 1 and 2), a deliberate creative choice to evolve the tone as Millie Bobby Brown herself transitions out of her teenage-detective era — she’s now also a producer on the film.
Louis Partridge returns as Tewkesbury, and a wedding subplot appears to be in the cards. Sharon Duncan-Brewster’s Moriarty is back stirring chaos, and Helena Bonham Carter reprises Eudoria in what looks like her most mysterious role in the trilogy. Worth the Wait?
The first two films combined for massive viewership globally, and with Millie Bobby Brown fresh off Stranger Things‘ final season, the audience hype couldn’t be better timed. If Barantini delivers on the darker promise, this could be the trilogy’s best chapter.
July 1 can’t come soon enough.
