Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that Daichi Kamada will be leaving the club as a free agent at the end of the season. His contract is set to expire at the end of June, and he has been unable to reach an agreement with them to renew.
Borussia Dortmund are one of the frontrunners to sign the player, and have now received a massive boost in their hopes of landing him. His teammate, Evan N’Dicka will also be leaving for free after not renewing his deal with the team.
Daichi Kamada to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer for free
“Daichi Kamada has developed into a very good Bundesliga player at Eintracht Frankfurt over the past few years and has played his part in the club’s sporting development – culminating in last season’s Europa League triumph,” Markus Krösche, the Director of Football at Eintracht Frankfurt said.
“We would have liked Daichi to remain at Eintracht, but that didn’t align with the player’s interests. We thank him for his commitment to Eintracht and wish him all the best for the future.”
Alongside Dortmund, Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old. He has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 38 appearances this season, showing his remarkable ability. And it will be interesting to see which club he chooses to sign for in a few months’ time.
