EA to Reveal New Battlefield This Summer, Launch Battlefield and Skate by End of Fiscal Year 2026
The CEO of EA, Andrew Wilson, stressed that the release of the next Battlefield title is a big event for the company. This summer’s unveiling is an important beat in their journey as they move towards launching the next generation of blockbuster games, EA says. Wilson had praise for the company’s robust development pipeline, noting the reveal of Battlefield as a core piece of EA’s future plans.
The financial report continues to state that EA expects the bulk of its revenue for fiscal year 2026 from a number of categories: We believe the loyal following for the EA Sports lineup, The Sims, and the upcoming launches of both Battlefield and Skate will drive growth in Fiscal Year 2023 and beyond. While there’s no confirmed launch date for Skate, EA has previously said that the game will be in early access by 2025.
Aside from these announcements, EA also provided an update on the status of the next Battlefield game. The company also shared progress through its Battlefield Labs playtest program. Notably, player invites in Asia are beginning to roll out, and the scale of testing will expand throughout May. More players will be added to the test group, and new content will be introduced as part of the evolving playtest.
With both Battlefield and Skate shaping up to be central titles in EA’s future portfolio, the company appears to be aligning its strategy around both new releases and fan-favorite franchises for the upcoming fiscal year.
