Second episodes can make or break a new drama’s momentum, and ENA’s “Dream to You” just proved it’s building the right kind of buzz. The romantic comedy starring Hwang In Youp and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri is off to a promising start, with numbers moving in the right direction.
The Ratings So Far
On July 14, “Dream to You” saw a slight uptick in viewership for its second episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the show climbed to an average nationwide rating of 2.8 percent for the night — a small but encouraging sign for a freshly launched series still finding its footing.
How Dream To You Compares This Week
| Show | Network | Latest Rating |
|---|---|---|
| Dream to You | ENA | 2.8% |
| See You at Work Tomorrow | tvN | 4.4% |
While tvN’s “See You at Work Tomorrow” continues to lead with a stronger 4.4 percent rating, “Dream to You” holding steady and inching upward in just its second outing suggests audiences are warming up to the new pairing.
Why This Chemistry Might Click
Hwang In Youp and Hyeri bring distinct fanbases to the table — his from a string of popular romantic leads, hers from years as both an idol with Girl’s Day and a familiar face in Korean television. Romantic comedies in the Korean drama space often see their real growth in the weeks following premiere, as word-of-mouth and character chemistry take hold (Wikipedia).
With two episodes down and steady growth already visible, “Dream to You” looks well-positioned to keep climbing in the weeks ahead.
