Donga Naa Koduku : A Good-for-Nothing Son, a Jewellery Heist, and Mouli’s Next Big Bet

Remember that one friend who borrows money from everyone and still dreams of getting rich overnight? Mouli is playing him on screen, and the first glimpse is already making people smile.

Fresh off the success of the romantic comedy Little Hearts, Mouli returns as the lead in Donga Naa Koduku. The makers have released the teaser, and it promises a laugh-out-loud ride. The film is directed by Sreenu Kambala and hits theatres on November 13, 2026.

Donga Naa Koduku : Overview

What the Teaser Shows?

Mouli plays Eeswar, a carefree youngster from a lower-middle-class family. He skips his studies, borrows money from just about everyone, and behaves like a spoiled brat.

His parents are fed up. Veteran comedian Ali plays the father, and the teaser adds a funny twist by hinting that the parents are a little money-minded themselves. Eeswar’s girlfriend, meanwhile, stays loyal to him despite his flaws.

Here is where the trouble starts. Even with a loving family and a devoted girlfriend, Eeswar is obsessed with wealth. Mounting debts and plain greed push him towards one reckless plan: a heist. The film’s comic hook is a jewellery shop robbery that goes hilariously wrong, setting off a chain of chaotic situations.

The Cast

Besides Mouli and Ali, the film features Sushmitha Shetty, Raghu Babu, Rajitha, Priya, Babloo, Nanda Gopal and Bhadram in key roles.

The film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers, one of the biggest production houses in Telugu cinema, which gives it solid commercial credibility.

Why This Film Is Worth Watching?

Mouli’s last outing, Little Hearts, was set in Hyderabad in 2015 and followed a carefree student falling in love. Now he moves from sweet romance to full-blown comedy chaos. It is a smart switch, and the “lovable loser” role suits him well.

Heist comedies also work because audiences enjoy watching plans fall apart. If the writing delivers on the teaser’s promise, this could be a fun, family-friendly weekend watch.
