DKB Enlistment : Overview

What BRAVE Entertainment Said

1 BRAVE Entertainment stated they would like to inform fans regarding DKB’s D1’s upcoming military enlistment, sharing that D1 applied to serve in the Army Military Band and recently received final confirmation of his acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration — and accordingly, will enlist as an active-duty soldier on October 26 to fulfill his mandatory military service. 1 There will be no official event held on the day of his enlistment. As the enlistment site will also be attended by many soldiers and their families, the agency kindly asked fans to refrain from visiting the site to help prevent any safety-related incidents.

💙 For Dumbells (DKB Fans): D1’s acceptance into the prestigious Army Military Band is a testament to his incredible musical talent — it’s truly one of the most respected roles in mandatory service!

Who Is D1?

4 DKB — also known as Dark Brown Eyes — is a South Korean boy band under Brave Entertainment, consisting of eight members: E-Chan, D1, GK, Heechan, Lune, Junseo, Yuku, and Harry-June. 4 The group made their debut on February 3, 2020, with the release of their extended play *Youth* and its lead single “Sorry Mama.”

D1 is one of the group’s most beloved members, known for his standout musical abilities — which clearly played a key role in his acceptance into the highly selective Army Military Band.

Army Military Band — Why It Matte

Serving in the Army Military Band is one of the most selective and prestigious pathways through South Korea’s mandatory military service. Unlike standard active duty, band members represent the armed forces through official performances and cultural events — making D1’s acceptance a direct reflection of his exceptional musical talent and artistry.

What’s Next for DKB?

With D1 set to enlist on October 26, DKB will continue their journey as a group. The remaining members are expected to maintain their official activities while D1 fulfills his mandatory service duties — a chapter DKB fans have been mentally preparing for, even if it doesn’t make it any easier.
