Did Multiverse Wars Quietly Wipe Out Marvel’s Fox X-Men?

Fans have spent months asking the same thing: where are Storm, Jean Grey and Rogue? The answer may be heartbreaking. A new theory says they didn’t skip the movie. They may not have survived to see it.

Marvel: The Endgame Encore Clue?

Marvel’s rerelease of Endgame reportedly adds a post-credits scene. In it, the TVA watches an incursion between Earth-10005, the home of the Fox-era X-Men, and Earth-1127. Missiles fly as each world tries to destroy the other before they collide. Soon about 3,000 realities are crashing together, and a TVA agent declares the multiverse is collapsing.

If the Fox universe survived several of these clashes, losing beloved mutants along the way makes grim sense. You can read more about the film on Wikipedia’s Avengers: Doomsday page.

Who’s In and Who’s Out?

Why the Theory Fits?

• The footage: The teaser shows Xavier’s school in ruins, and the trailer shows a burning red sky, the comics’ classic sign of an incursion.
• The chess game: Xavier and Magneto play calmly while the world burns, as if they’ve been through this before.
• The directors’ hint: Anthony Russo wouldn’t reveal specifics, but said the X-Men’s history feeds into the film in a meaningful way.

There’s a catch. The X-Men on screen might come from a different, unnamed world, like the one Monica Rambeau visited in The Marvels.

The Emotional Takeaway

Picture Doomsday as a farewell to the Fox era, where the missing heroes are honored through their fate. Flashbacks showing how they fell would be painful, but powerful. The film arrives in theaters December 18.
