Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge hasn’t even officially released yet, and it’s already rewriting the rules of Bollywood box office. With previews steamrolling past Rs. 17 crore nett, this is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Hindi films in years — and the real fireworks haven’t even begun.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge — Preview Box Office Snapshot
| Metric | Figures |
|---|---|
| Preview collection (Hindi) | Rs. 16.50 crore nett approx |
| Including South-dubbed versions | Rs. 17+ crore nett |
| National chain tickets sold | ~2.45 lakh (Rs. 11.50 crore nett) |
| Shows scheduled | ~8,000 (likely to cross 9,000) |
| Projected pre-sales by Tuesday | Rs. 25+ crore nett |
| US advance | USD 2.50 million+ (fastest Indian pre-seller) |
| Current India preview record holder | They Call Him OG — Rs. 26 crore nett |
The Numbers Are Speaking for Themselves
The film has been raking in around Rs. 1.75 crore per day from previews alone, and analysts project it will comfortably cross Rs. 20 crore before the weekend ends. By Tuesday, Rs. 25+ crore in pre-sales looks almost certain — and that would make a final opening week collection north of Rs. 30 crore nett a near-guarantee.
Here’s the kicker: the existing India preview record of Rs. 26 crore nett, held by They Call Him OG, is now firmly in the crosshairs. Given the current momentum, Dhurandhar: The Revenge looks set to smash it — possibly making it the first of many records to fall.
To understand how massive this is, consider that box office collection milestones from previews alone have historically been reserved for only the biggest tentpole releases globally — and Ranveer Singh’s latest is firmly in that conversation.
What’s Still to Come — The Full Advance Story
Here’s what makes this even more exciting: the full weekend advances haven’t even opened yet! There’s an ongoing negotiation between distributors and national chains, and once that resolves, the floodgates will open for regular ticket bookings.
Currently, only previews at premium prices and late-day slots are available. The general audience — the real mass wave — is yet to book. When full advances open, the trajectory could shift dramatically. Overseas numbers are already “absurd” according to industry watchers, with the US pre-sales being the fastest for any Indian film in history.
