Ranveer Singh’s spy action thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is shaping up to be one of the most significant theatrical events of 2026 — and not just because of the film itself. Jio Studios is turning it into a full-blown movie festival by attaching teasers of two highly anticipated upcoming releases to its prints this Eid 2026.
What’s Getting Attached to Dhurandhar 2?
According to an exclusive report by PinkVilla, teasers for Raja Shivaji and Cocktail 2 will play in cinemas alongside Dhurandhar 2. It’s a savvy marketing move, using the massive hype around the Aditya Dhar directorial to build early buzz for Jio Studios’ next big bets.
| Film | Director | Key Cast | Genre | Expected Release |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge | Aditya Dhar | Ranveer Singh | Spy Action | Eid 2026 |
| Raja Shivaji | Riteish Deshmukh | Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan | Period Epic | May 1, 2026 |
| Cocktail 2 | Homi Adajania | Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna | Romantic Drama | TBA 2026 |
Raja Shivaji — A Pan-India Marathi Epic
Raja Shivaji is arguably the most ambitious film Marathi cinema has ever attempted. Riteish Deshmukh wears both the director’s cap and the crown of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj — the legendary 17th-century Maratha warrior king who built a sovereign kingdom against all odds.
Produced simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi (with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam dubs), it stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Genelia Deshmukh. Salman Khan is also reportedly making a guest appearance. This is a film built to travel across India.

Cocktail 2 — Modern Love, Three Stars
Director Homi Adajania reunites with Bollywood for Cocktail 2, a romantic drama exploring contemporary relationships. Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna headline the project — a combination that already has fans buzzing. Its release date is expected to be revealed when the teaser drops at Eid.

Why This Strategy Works
Attaching teasers to a guaranteed crowd-puller like Dhurandhar 2 is smart cinema marketing. The Ranveer Singh–Aditya Dhar reunion alone guarantees massive footfall, giving both Raja Shivaji and Cocktail 2 immediate visibility with millions of paying audiences — before a single trailer drops.
