Details about AMD’s next-gen RDNA 3 based GPUs leaked online

We have recently a detailed explanation of specifications regarding the Navi 31 GPU die from AMD, and now we have yet another leak from Olrak over at Twitter which has listed the details about the RDNA 3 based Navi 32 GPU for the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT & Navi 33 GPU for Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics cards.

As we know, AMD’s rDNA 3 lineup will have both monolithic and MCM GPUs which would power the next-gen Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. There have been recent reports mentioning that the Navi 3X graphics chips will soon be taping out so we have no idea if the leaked information over these dies is reliable or not. So take them with a grain of salt. Without further delay let’s move on to the information which we have in our hands.

AMD RDNA 3 Navi 32 GPUs For Radeon RX 7700 Series

the first is the AMD Navi 32 GPU which will be one of the two MCM GPUs featured in the RDNA 3 lineup. It will feature two GCD’s (Graphics Computer Dies) along with a singular MCD (Multi-Cache Die). This die will be similar to the flagship Navi 31 GPU however, this has one less Shader Engine across each die.

The GPU is expected to utilize TSMC’s 5nm process node and the MCD will be based on a 6nm process node. It’s being speculated that AMD is yet to decide between 6nm die from Samsung and TSMC. My bet, it’s going to be TSMC.

The performance of the AMD Radeon RX 7700 series sporting Navi 32 GPU will be above the RX 6800 and RX 6900 series, and that is one big leap in graphics horsepower for games. The power numbers are also expected to go up to 270-300W.

AMD RDNA 3 Navi 33 GPUs For Radeon RX 7600 Series

next, we have the AMD Navi 33 GPU featuring in the Radeon RX 7600 Series, they will be starting with the monolithic segment within the RDNA 3 family. The GPU will feature a single die and the die is similar to the flagship Navi 21 GPU and will also be utilizing a 6nm process node for fabrication.

It will have 2 Shader Engines and each Shader Engine has 2 Shader Arrays (2 per SE / 4 in total). The GPU will reportedly carry 256 MB of Infinity Cache and each of its GPUs will also feature 2 memory connect links (32-bit). The performance is expected to be above the RX 6800 and RX 6900 series at a TDP of around 200W.

AMD RDNA 3 Navi 31 GPUs For Radeon RX 7800/7900 Series

Finally, we have the AMD Navi 31 GPU, the flagship RDNA3 chip, which will power the next-gen Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card. For its next-gen RDNA3 GPUs AMD will reportedly be dropping CU (Compute Units) in favor of WGP (Work Group Processors).

The Navi 31 GPU will feature two GCD’s (Graphics Core Die) and a single MCD (Multi-Cache Die) as well as it will have 3 Shader Engines (6 in total) and each Shader Engine has 2 Shader Arrays (2 per SE / 6 per GCD / 12 in total).

The Navi 31 (RDNA 3) MCD will also be linked with the dual GCD’s via a next-generation Infinity Fabric interconnect and will also sport a total of 8 32-bit memory controllers for a 256-bit bus interface.

For more information stay tuned.
